Two men and the Bear

One day two friends set forth on a journey. They were travelling to another city for which they needed to cross the jungle . The jungle was said to be inhabited by dangerous wild beasts. The journey went off smoothly until they entered the forest area. As the men continued to walk though the jungle , they came across smaller animals like rabbits, snake, squirrel and other similar ones. They were happy as they had nearly covered the jungle without facing much danger. But, Before they could move out of the jungle safely, worst fear came true. They heard the howls of a wild bear! The very sound of the animals scared the friends. Before they could think of any safety measure, the wild bear was in front of them., ready to pounce. The very sight of the bear made one of the men quickly climb up the tree, thus making himself safe from the attack of the wild bear. The other men could not climb up the tree and was left alone. He knew he could do nothing, So he simply dropped to the ground, held his breath and feigned the appearance of a dead man. The bear went close to the dead man and sniffed at his ears.

He felt his body with snout and even pawed at the man a few times. The man did not respond, thinking him to be dead, The bear slowly walked away. After the bear left, the other friend carefully came down the tree. He was little surprised, he asked his companion, "what did the bear whispered in your ear?" "oh", replied the man who had stayed on the ground, the bear just said," Never travel with a friend who deserts you at the time of danger."

Moral: Friendship is tested in the time of trouble.

"Ah!" said the fly, "the honey looks so tasty and smells good too. I must try it out." Overjoyed to find an open honey jar, the fly soon started to lick the honey. Finding it very sweet and tasty the fly started to enjoy the feast which had not tasted for long. He began to relish the honey that was there along the edges of the jar. Soon, little by little he finished all the honey that was around the edges and slowly crept away from the edge and landed inside the jar.          As he fell inside the jar he found himself stuck. His wings and legs were all smeared with so much honey that he could not fly. "Oh!" cried out the fly, "I am stuck and I cannot come out of the jar."
